Bayarmaa Dalkhjav joined the NRCC in 2014. Currently, she is a candidate of PhD in economics, majoring in macroeconomics, at the University of New Hampshire, USA. Her previous experience includes senior lecturer of the Department of Economics, NUM, between 2002 and 2010.
Her research areas of expertise are labor economics, macroeconomics, and impact evaluation. She has published her research in peer-reviewed economics journals. Her study on the impacts of vocational training on youth unemployment has been published at the World Bank Economic Review, one of the top economics journals.
She received many research grants and successfully implemented the projects. These include “Inclusive Growth and Labor Market”, by a grant from the Mongolian Science and Technological Fund, and “Impacts of Short Term Vocational Training for Youth Unemployment”, by a grant from the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP).
Alongside her academic research, her experience in consulting for international organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and the private sector is rich. She worked as a researcher of the national team for T21-Mongolia Macroeconomic Model, National Development and Innovation Committee; Urban Registry Process, Millennium Challenge Account; Assessing the Vulnerability to Poverty, Asian Development Bank.
She obtained her MA in Economics from the University of Sophia, Japan, BA in Economics from the National University of Mongolia.
