COVID-19 impact
More than half of the respondents reported that their income has fallen compared to the second quarter of 2020. The number of respondents, who evaluate the risk of contamination is high, has increased substantially. During the survey period, employment has increased, and the share of workers working from home has not declined. Most of the employers had taken various measures to prevent COVID-19 contamination.
Participants see an increase in the price of essential goods and the loss of purchasing power as the main challenges in the coming months. The outreach of the government supports to overcome the pandemic is significantly different by socio-economic characteristics. In particular, the gain from the discount on the utility bill is quite different depending on the income level, dwelling type and location.
